Gorran dancers move audience to tears.

Dance teacher from The Roseland Community college, Sarah Waller, has been working with some of our Year 5 and 6 children. The theme of the dance was around the evacuation of children in World War II and used the children’s ideas to produce a stunning piece. The aim of the project was to show how dance can incorporate other areas of the curriculum, such as history and PSHE.

The children performed the dance at the University College Falmouthto a prestigious audience, including head teachers, dance teachers, professors and a representative from the Department for Education. The children worked so hard at this project, and were rewarded by reducing the audience to tears, followed by an huge round of applause. We are very proud of the way that they worked and performed.
