Governors

The Governors of Gorran School

We are a team of volunteers who are proud to support Gorran School. We work with the Headteacher and staff to help shape the school’s vision, monitor educational standards, oversee the school budget and ensure that statutory responsibilities are met. Above all, we aim to make sure every child at Gorran has the best possible opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.

Although much of our work takes place behind the scenes, we are actively involved in many aspects of school life—from discussing long-term plans and reviewing policies, to visiting the school and seeing the children’s learning in action. Each governor brings their own skills, experience, and perspective, and together we support and challenge the school in a positive and constructive way.

Gorran School is a special place, rooted in its community and driven by a genuine commitment to the wellbeing and success of every child. The caring staff, enthusiastic pupils, and supportive families all contribute to a warm, vibrant environment that we are proud to champion.

Thank you to everyone who helps make the school such a wonderful place to learn.
