Gorran School makes learning music fun! Every child has a music lesson with our specialist music teacher and many more are able to learn specific instruments ; the year 5/6 class are all learning to play the Ukulele. There are music lessons available in Guitar, drums and piano for which there is a charge from the local county council. From Christmas shows and end of year celebrations, there is always time and opportunity for the children to enjoy participating in the many different types of productions.
We have an end of year production – a musical. This is usually written by Lucy Seaber with original music by Alex Giles. We are very lucky to have such a creative and committed team on our staff. They are always visually great and very entertaining. The children work to a high standard and thoroughly enjoy perfecting their roles and being involved in it’s creation.
